Description

In conjunction with Drive Espana.

In recent years the round the houses race at Pau has become a classic of the international historic racing calendar. It’s amusing to remember that F3000 used to race there with Juan Pablo Montoya winning the last time the championship visited. Now Pau’s streets echo to the sounds of historic machinery and we have teamed up with Feathers Motorsport and Feathers Lifestyle to do a trip to the event. Feathers own a very quick Ginetta G10 and this will be racing and the trip includes access to the Feathers’ suite and paddock areas as well as ferries and three nights in super Chateaux on the way down and back.

Schedule

Wednesday 24th May

Evening departure from Portsmouth on Brittany Ferries

Thursday 25th May

Arrive in Caen and the drive 240 miles to Curzay Sur Vonne to stay at the Chateau Curzay which is a wonderful Chateau in which to break the journey to Pau.

Friday 26th May

Drive to 275 miles to Pau for two nights at the Parc Beaumont Hotel. Your rooms will have balconies which overlook the circuit. You will have full daytime access to the Feathers Suite which also overlooks the hotel as well as passes to the circuit and Paddock where the Ginetta G10 will be based.

Sunday 28th May

When the racing is over drive 135 miles to Bordeaux for a night at La Reserve au Pavilion de Chateau Raba which is a hotel we use regularly on French Tours. Their website will tell you their restaurant is closed on Sundays—but if the group wants to eat there they will open just for us.

Monday 29th May

Spend time in Bordeaux or set off for Curzay to return to the Chateau Curzay. With only 140 miles to run this is a relaxed day with a chance to chill at the Chateau.

Tuesday 30th May

Drive 240 miles to Caen for a mid afternoon ferry to Portsmouth
